Uscita a ottobre del 2020, ecco la ventunesima versione del dodici anni a grado pieno, con una maturazione piuttosto variegata rispetto alle precedenti.
Alle consuete botti ex bourbon e sherry, sono state aggiunte infatti botti ex vino francese ed ex porto, in percentuali non proprio trascurabili: novità davvero interessante.
Da segnalare come il batch uscito poco tempo fa sia tornato invece al più classico smezzamento tra bourbon e sherry.

Note di degustazione
Ottone nel bicchiere.
Al naso è una sinfonia di note vinose e sherried unite a una torba più erbacea che tostata. Molta frutta matura con pesca, prugna, amarene, datteri e frutti di bosco, unita ad albicocca secca, arancia candita, crema cotta. Tonalità acidule, di limone e pompelmo, abbracciano venature terrose, di foglie bagnate e tabacco, in un profilo ricco e complesso, dolce e sporco al contempo.
Caloroso e speziato al palato, con una bella dose di pepe e zenzero che punteggia note fumose piene ma non esuberanti, assieme a frutti di bosco e arancia rossa, amarene, tamarindo, scorza d’arancia candita, liquirizia dolce tipo Haribo. Cioccolato fondente e tabacco. Ancora una vena acidula e fresca di pompelmo che bilancia le note dolci, con l’anima agricola che emerge in lunghezza.
Finale lungo e secco, tannico, di cenere, arancia, prugna cotta, tabacco, foglie bagnate.
Prosegue la tradizione di cask strength di altissima qualità: le botti creano un insieme armonico e ricco che delizia e intrattiene, la gradazione è integrata alla perfezione e non resta che sedersi e godersi lo spettacolo.
