This time we’re righ on point and pour into the glass one of the latest creations from Italian Dream Whisky which, by its name, is meant to evoke the Winter season.
13 years of ageing in single ex-Bourbon casks with a whisky from Loch Lomond, a distillery in a truly delightful lakeside location, in the declination of Inchfad, the peaty version of their distillate.

Tasting notes

Full gold in the glass.
Herbaceous and moist peat on the nose, with a rather delicate and fresh profile of flowers, pineapple, ripe apple, vanilla, toasted almonds, caramel. Green tea. The smoke becomes more intense over time, though it never becomes acrid and pungent but remains on soft and vegetal, refreshing tones.
A nice chilli pepper starts on the palate, with lively spicy notes (anise, ginger) on a solid fruity texture (peach, apple, mango) veined with citrus and custard. Pleasant, subtle smokiness with hints of salt on pecans. Three-dimensional.
Long, citrusy finish with salt, thick smoke, sugar cane.

Lively and full of personality, with a peatiness to suit all tastes that neither tires nor overpowers the other flavours, composing a harmonious symphony that entertains and amuses. Well done, indeed.
