Brand the image above into your memory because in a few years’ time you will no longer be able to see it: the Talisker distillery will be demolished.
This is not a closure, but a complete renovation, as Diageo has started the bureaucratic process to obtain planning permission for the construction of a new, sustainable plant on the Isle of Skye, which once completed will become ‘the new Talisker’, leading to the demolition of the current distillery.
The project also includes an increase in production volumes.
Obviously it will take a few years for everything to come to fruition, but in the meantime we can also imagine how the labels will be redesigned, hopefully better than the last restyling.
