Last 18 September saw the official release of this year’s Diageo Special Releases, eight bottlings from as many distilleries, all cask strength, under the name Spirited Xchange.
The first collection to be created by master blender Stuart Morrison, it sees almost all confirmations, one return (Glenkinchie, which has been missing since 2016) and one new addition, the first official bottling from the Roseisle distillery, established in 2010 to produce distillate to be used in the drinking giant’s blends.
The illustrations on the label are meant to evoke the tasting notes of the bottle.
